Redeeming the Table
What Is Storywork?
Narrative-Focused Trauma Care, a methodology created by Dan Allender at the Allender Center, invites individuals to engage their stories of harm with curiosity, compassion, and hope. Through story engagement, trauma is reframed as part of a redemptive journey toward wholeness. This approach integrates psychology and theology to reorient your identity, dignity, and connection.

The Uniqueness
of Every Story
Everyone has a story unique to them, full of particular details and moments that shape the way they view and relate to themselves, others, the world, and even God.

Connecting
the Dots
I help connect the dots of your story by identifying themes and patterns so you can tell a truer narrative than the one you were given by your family of origin.

The Challenge
of Perspective
It's hard to read the label from inside the bottle.
We all need a witness to our story to add meaning and language to it's impact.

Embracing Both Beauty & Brokenness
This work will grow your capacity to simultaneously hold your beauty and brokenness, your harm and hope,
your faith and betrayals,
your desires and harm. Our wounds play out until they receive care. We won't fix, we will join with kindness so change occurs.
As you grieve how your faith, hope, and love were marred, you will grow more resilient.

Creating Safe Spaces for Healing
In a safe, responsive place, we will partner together to unlock the particularities of your stories of harm that were formative to your style of relating, personal triggers, and the roles you play.

Reclaiming Agency
Reconnecting to your sense of agency and choice on behalf of yourself, and you will find renewed freedom to live into your calling with renewed faith, greater hope, and the mutuality of love.
